A family of three was taking “not-so-big” to heart, living in a diminutive garden level apartment. This kitchen needed to be utterly efficient in its use of space, to provide the work space and storage they required, while creating a feeling of spaciousness. A south-facing garden window provides a home for their orchid collection, and the tile floor is warm on the toes with a radiant hydronic heating system. Sliding doors out to their lovely landscaped courtyard create a connection between indoor and outdoor rooms.
