Our forward-thinking clients skimped on finishes to make room in their budget for a well sealed and insulated building envelope, and highly efficient heating & ventilation systems. This extensive remodel earned an Energy Star II qualification, Mayor Menino’s Green Award for Home Remodeling, and a HERS score of 61 – meaning it uses only 61% of the energy used by a standard code-built home. Pretty impressive number considering we left the old cladding on the exterior and did all the insulating from the inside.
